Musical Styles: IAC is committed to worship that is contemporary in tone but rooted in all three streams of the church’s life (sacramental, evangelical, and charismatic). Liturgical texts put to music, modern worship songs, and classic hymns are all part of our church’s “hymnal,” and this diversity helps lead us into the fullness of who God is and what he’s done for us. Worship leaders have led from piano or guitar, and a typical team usually consists of some combination of vocals, guitar, piano/keys, bass, electric guitar, violin, cello, and cajon/drums. The words for the songs are projected on an overhead screen to foster freedom of gesture (raising hands, kneeling, etc.), congregational unity, and hospitality to new visitors.
