Duties & Responsibilities Set up and tear down all audio‑visual equipment for events held in the Student Centers. Provide on‑site support and operation of AV equipment at events. Attend client walkthroughs to ensure their equipment needs for events are met. Assist with selection and purchase of new equipment. Assist in research projects involving audio‑visual equipment. Report any late added equipment to ensure proper charges are assessed to clients. Be responsible for issuance, receipt, custody, and inventory of departmental properties such as technical equipment and power and hand tools; maintain records of inventory and prepare specifications and analyses of unit costs. Re‑wire, re‑build, and modify equipment to meet specific needs. Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned. Minimum Qualifications Required Any one or any combination totaling one (1) year (12 months) from the following categories: A. College coursework in mass communications, communications production, television productions/broadcasting or a closely related field, measured by the following conversion table or its proportional equivalent: 30 semester hours equals one (1) year (12 months) Associate's Degree (60 semester hours) equals eighteen months (18 months) 90 semester hours equals two (2) years (24 months) Bachelor's Degree (120 semester hours) equals three (3) years (36 months) B. Work experience in the operation and maintenance of instructional communications equipment.
