The winning candidate will help continue the digital transformation and be on the bleeding edge of digital media as we continue to win new audience across multiple platforms. The Express-News is known for a documentary focus and a commitment to narrative storytelling. The successful candidate will be adept at both. Responsibilities Connect with people in South-Central Texas, a racially and culturally diverse region, and handle emotionally difficult stories as they arise. Use Canon mirrorless equipment, Mac laptops, Photoshop, Photomechanic, Premiere Pro, After Effects, Bridge and related programs—proficiency with these programs is a must. Qualifications Reliable personal vehicle and the ability to work and transmit while in the field. 3 to 10 years of experience in daily journalism. Portfolio emphasizing both still and video journalism. A valid drone license is a plus. Proficiency in Spanish is a plus.
