This position is located at our Equestrian Center in Ocala, Florida. Successful candidates will play a critical role in shaping the design direction of enterprise software and applications that support WEC’s leadership in equestrian sports and the hospitality industry. This role will lead UX research, analysis, and design efforts to craft intuitive, visually compelling, and user‑centered digital experiences. You’ll collaborate closely with software engineers and business stakeholders to rapidly understand business requirements, compile UX analysis material, and produce designs to support the application development lifecycle.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Lead UX design efforts from concept to delivery, ensuring consistency across multiple applications.
Conduct user research, usability testing, and data analysis to inform design decisions.
Create wireframes, prototypes, and high‑fidelity designs that effectively communicate concepts.
Collaborate with engineering and product teams to ensure seamless implementation of designs.
Establish and maintain design systems, style guides, and best practices.
Qualifications
6+ years of professional UX design experience with a strong portfolio showcasing application projects.
Proven experience leading design projects and mentoring other designers.
Proficiency in design and prototyping tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD).
Strong understanding of user research methodologies and usability testing.
Excellent problem‑solving skills and a passion for creating exceptional user experiences.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Highly organized, independent, and able to interact with individuals from multiple disciplines.
Bachelor’s degree in design, human‑computer interaction, or a related field.
Nice To Haves
Experience designing enterprise software applications from concept to implementation.
Experience with mobile‑friendly design patterns.
Familiarity with front‑end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) to communicate effectively with developers and/or contribute directly to UI and design system implementation.
Knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG) and inclusive design practices.
Experience with analytics tools to measure and optimize user experience.
Background or interest in equestrian sports.
