Under supervision coordinates patient reception, scheduling and registration. Obtains and records all data relative to the registration process. Maintains knowledge of insurance and third-party payers, computer data-entry and forms and the Advanced Beneficiary Notification (ABN) process. We are hiring for Patient Scheduler position in the Lactation Clinic at Providence Alaska Medical Center in Anchorage, AK! Position is part-time, 0.6 FTE, 8-hr Variable shifts, 24 hours per week. Required Qualifications: Coursework/Training and medical terminology required within 6 months of date of hire. 6 months of clerical background involving public contact, preferably medical. Experience with multi-line telephone systems, personal computer, printers, copiers and fax machines. Preferred Qualifications: Ancillary department (such as Radiology), clerical or Admitting Representative/Scheduling specialist experience. Why Join Providence?
