Position Overview

QinetiQ US seeks a Graphic Designer/Artist to support a fast‑paced research and development organization within the Department of Defense (DoD). The Graphic Designer will work within the Director's Action Group developing new graphics, OV‑1s, PowerPoint briefing materials and designs as requested.

Responsibilities

  • Design, layout and produce PowerPoint presentations, interactive digital posters, technical illustrations, logos, and promotional items.
  • Create new designs from descriptions, back‑of‑the‑envelope drawings, notes, or existing materials.
  • Integrate dissimilar inputs with varying styles into a unified presentation, ensuring design consistency.
  • Clean up, reformat and organize content in existing presentations and reports to meet organizational professionalism.
  • Apply knowledge of color theory, perspective, composition and information design to every deliverable.
  • Maintain electronic libraries of briefings, clip art and other marketing resources.
  • Maintain links to resources on group or division webpages, wikis and file repositories.
  • Develop content management guidelines and protocols.
  • Ensure work adheres to organization style guides, branding standards, as well as marking and release requirements.
  • Proof‑read deliverables for spelling, grammar and punctuation.
  • Advise staff on best practices for producing effective graphics and publication.

Required Qualifications

  • TS/SCI‑eligible: currently hold an active TS/SCI or have held an SCI and have been debriefed in the last 24 months.
  • Bachelor’s degree in graphic design or similar.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience.
  • Proficient in MS PowerPoint, Excel and/or other Microsoft products.
  • Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign).
  • Excellent communication skills, ability to work in a team environment and be independently motivated.
