Comp Package Artist – Hasbro

As a Comp Package Artist, you will play a key role in bringing product ideas to life. You’ll design, fabricate, and finish a wide range of prototype models and functional samples that support product development, marketing, and sales initiatives. This position requires both creative and technical expertise — combining precision craftsmanship with advanced modeling tools to deliver exceptional prototypes that reflect Hasbro’s standards of quality and innovation.

This position will be onsite 5 days a week Monday-Friday at Hasbro’s HQ in Pawtucket, RI. Effective from the date that Hasbro opens its new Boston location, this position will be onsite Monday-Friday at Hasbro’s new HQ location in Boston, MA.

Responsibilities

  • Design & Build: Develop a variety of prototypes, including conceptual models, engineering breadboards, mechanisms, check models, tooling‑quality patterns, and detailed functioning show samples.
  • Technical Fabrication: Utilize hand tools, conventional machinery, CAD/CAM systems, rapid prototyping technology, and CNC equipment to create accurate and high‑quality parts.
  • Visualization & Interpretation: Read and translate mechanical drawings, hand sketches, and CAD data into precise 3D forms.
  • Finishing & Assembly: Perform aesthetic finishing of molded, fabricated, or RP‑generated parts — including cleanup, surface preparation, and assembly of urethane castings — and prepare components for painting and decoration.
  • Cross‑Functional Collaboration: Communicate with engineers, designers, and marketing/sales teams to provide constructive, value‑added feedback that enhances product functionality and design.
  • Marketing & Event Support: Provide hands‑on support during commercial shoots, presentations, trade shows, and play‑tests — including traveling to maintain samples, assist with displays, and coordinate sample pack‑outs.
  • Workspace Management: Maintain a safe, organized, and efficient studio environment while managing multiple projects and priorities.

What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Design, Model Making, Sculpting or Fine Arts.
  • 1‑2 years’ experience or relevant internships in a related field.
  • Hands‑on skill‑set working with 3D printed parts and associated technologies.
  • Technical knowledge of CAD/CAM systems and graphics software including Illustrator and Photoshop.
  • Strong conceptual and problem‑solving abilities with an eye for detail and craftsmanship.

Compensation

The base salary range for this position is $24.80 to $37.10 per hour. The hiring range will vary based on factors such as experience, skills, location and market conditions. Employees may be eligible for annual and long‑term incentives as part of their overall compensation package.
