Job Summary/Description
Western Mass News is seeking a friendly, positive, self‑motivated Sales Assistant to support the sales organization. The role requires a strong work ethic, detail orientation, and the ability to work independently in a fast‑paced environment. The Sales Assistant helps Western Mass News’ local partners grow and strives to exceed customer expectations.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Provide support to Sales Management and Sales Staff
- Order entry and maintenance, including avails, proposals, and pre/post logs
- Create PowerPoint sales presentations for clients and station initiatives
- Daily management of inventory changes and program changes
- Pull and provide detailed reports for management, sales staff, and clients
- Create, prepare, and maintain sales collateral and packages for sales staff and other projects assigned by management
- Assist traffic with order entry and copy
- Coordinate with other departments on projects as needed
- Assist with research, traffic, and programming functions within the sales department
Qualifications/Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; college or technical degree preferred
- Microsoft Office experience using PowerPoint, Word, and Excel (required)
- Strong organizational and phone skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects with strict deadlines
- Ability to work well under pressure and thrive in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment with attention to detail
