About the Role

We’re looking for a data-driven and technically skilled SEO Specialist to lead our U.S. website optimization efforts. You’ll be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive SEO strategy — from keyword research and site structure optimization to tag implementation and link-building — that drives high-quality organic traffic and measurable business growth.

Key Responsibilities

1. Keyword Strategy & Research

  • Conduct in-depth keyword analysis, including search volume, competition, and relevance to business objectives.
  • Benchmark competitors’ SEO strategies and identify high-value keyword opportunities.
  • Map and distribute keywords strategically across landing pages, category pages, and content hubs.
  • Monitor keyword performance and ranking trends, providing actionable insights and forecasts.

2. Tagging & On-Page Optimization

  • Optimize meta titles, descriptions, headers (H1-H6), and alt text for maximum crawlability and CTR.
  • Implement structured data and schema markup where applicable.
  • Ensure all tags and elements reinforce each page’s topical relevance and improve search visibility.

3. Site Architecture & Technical SEO

  • Work closely with web developers to maintain a site architecture that aligns with search engine best practices.
  • Simplify site navigation and URL hierarchy to enhance crawl efficiency and user experience.
  • Identify and fix crawl errors, indexing issues, and canonicalization problems through Google Search Console and other SEO tools.

4. Search Engine Indexing & Communication

  • Submit new or updated pages to major search engines and track indexation status.
  • Monitor site health, coverage, and backlinks to assess SEO performance over time
  • Regularly audit site updates to ensure alignment with Google’s evolving algorithms.

5. Link Building & Authority Development

  • Plan and execute ethical, high-quality link acquisition campaigns.
  • Balance internal linking and outbound linking strategies to optimize authority flow.
  • Prevent over-optimization by diversifying anchor text and link destinations.

6. Sitemap & Crawl Optimization

  • Build and maintain XML and HTML sitemaps reflecting the full site structure.
  • Ensure search engines can easily discover and index all relevant pages and sections.
  • Coordinate with the dev team to automate sitemap updates upon content changes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 3+ years of hands‑on SEO experience in the U.S. market (in‑house or agency).
  • Strong knowledge of Google Search Console, Google Analytics, SEMrush, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog, or similar tools.
  • Deep understanding of keyword research, on‑page SEO, technical SEO, and link‑building best practices.
  • Working familiarity with HTML/CSS and CMS platforms (Shopify, WordPress, Webflow, etc.).
  • Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.

Preferred Attributes

  • Experience in eCommerce or consumer health / wellness categories a plus.
  • Familiarity with local SEO and schema for U.S. retail or service businesses.
  • Ability to translate technical findings into clear business recommendations.
