Job Description
As a Visual UI Designer Lead within the Payments Central initiative, you will be responsible for crafting visually compelling and user-friendly interfaces for our unified payments platform. You will collaborate closely with UX designers, product managers, and developers to ensure design consistency, brand alignment, and optimal user experience across all modules. This role demands strong visual design expertise, leadership capabilities, and experience in enterprise or financial services platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Design high-fidelity UI components, layouts, and visual assets for payment applications.
- Ensure visual consistency and adherence to brand guidelines across all modules.
- Collaborate with UX designers to translate wireframes and prototypes into polished interfaces.
- Lead visual design reviews and provide constructive feedback to design and development teams.
- Support responsive and accessible design across devices and platforms.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of design systems and style guides.
- Stay current with UI trends, tools, and best practices in financial technology.
- Mentor junior designers and promote design excellence across the team.
Required Skills & Experience
- 6–10 years of experience in visual/UI design, preferably in financial services or enterprise platforms.
- Proficiency in design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, Sketch, or similar.
- Strong understanding of visual hierarchy, typography, color theory, and layout principles.
- Experience designing responsive and accessible interfaces.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams in Agile environments.
Technical Skills
- Design Software Mastery: Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign.
- UI/UX Design Principles: Strong grasp of user interface and user experience fundamentals.
- Typography & Layout: Expertise in readability and visual hierarchy.
- Color Theory: Ability to use color effectively to influence user perception.
- Vector Illustration: Skilled in creating scalable graphics.
- Prototyping & Wireframing: Experience with interactive mockups and user flows.
Salary and Compensation
Base salary range: $100,000 to $130,000 per year. This role may also be eligible for variable compensation, bonus, or commission. Full-time regular employees are eligible for paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance, 401(k), and other benefits.
