Our client is looking for a visionary User Experience Design Lead to guide the strategy and execution of cohesive digital experiences across mobile and web platforms. This leadership role focuses on designing reusable systems and customer touchpoints that elevate usability, unify design standards, and enhance digital engagement across product lines.

You’ll play a pivotal part in shaping how users interact with core financial products, leading initiatives that span design systems, shared platform features, and cross-team collaboration. Your focus: creating elegant, scalable, and human-centered experiences that deliver value at every stage of the customer journey.

What You’ll Do

  • Strategize and Lead: Drive UX initiatives that align with company priorities, product strategy, and long-term design vision.
  • Champion Consistency: Standardize experience patterns across multiple digital products by scaling design systems and shared components.
  • Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Work closely with engineering, product management, marketing, and analytics teams to execute high-impact design work.
  • Mentor and Inspire: Support the growth of designers by fostering a culture rooted in design thinking, user empathy, and experimentation.
  • Conduct and Apply Research: Leverage insights from user studies, data analysis, and market trends to influence design decisions.
  • Drive Execution: Own end-to-end design delivery— from early ideation and prototyping to final handoff and implementation support.
  • Influence Stakeholders: Present design vision and rationale to senior leaders, using storytelling and evidence-based thinking.
  • Ensure Accessibility and Inclusivity: Build experiences that serve diverse user needs across various demographics and abilities.

Who You Are

  • A seasoned UX practitioner and leader, able to move between strategic vision and detailed execution with ease.
  • Experienced in building shared design platforms, managing complexity, and creating tools that scale across teams.
  • Passionate about human-centered design, with a strong appreciation for how thoughtful design impacts business outcomes.
  • A clear communicator who can influence decisions, shape roadmaps, and advocate for user needs at every level.
  • Resilient and adaptable in fast-paced environments, with excellent prioritization and decision-making skills.
  • Committed to inclusive design practices, with a focus on equity, accessibility, and usability across all experiences.
  • Comfortable guiding teams through ambiguity and transformation, with a focus on long‑term impact.

What You Bring

  • 10 years in user experience, product design, or digital design roles
  • At least 5 years leading complex design projects, including managing or mentoring design professionals
  • A history of delivering scalable solutions in digital ecosystems—preferably in highly regulated or customer‑centric industries
  • Experience collaborating with executive leadership and contributing to company‑wide design strategies
  • A robust portfolio showcasing end‑to‑end design thinking, execution, and problem‑solving across platforms
  • Proficiency in tools such as Figma, Miro, Dovetail, Usertesting.com, and other design and research platforms
  • Working knowledge of interaction design, content strategy, visual design , and user research
  • Bachelor’s degree in Design, HCI, or a related field—or equivalent experience

Nice to Have

  • Experience working within consumer finance or lending sectors
  • Prior involvement in building and evolving enterprise‑scale design systems
  • A track record of shaping platform‑level strategy and architecting user journeys across products and devices
