About the Role

The Lead Event Producer will support the creative and production teams in developing and executing event concepts across hospitality experiences, brand environments, and culinary‑driven activations. The role sits at the intersection of operations, design, and hospitality storytelling & is ideal for someone who combines creative intuition with logistical perfection and an ability to bring editorial, design‑led events to life from concept to completion.

Key Responsibilities

Pre‑Production

  • Oversee all event planning, creative execution, and logistical alignment ahead of production.
  • Lead project strategy and scope development, translating client briefs into actionable production plans.
  • Oversee run‑of‑show creation, vendor and talent sourcing, and alignment across creative, culinary, and production teams.
  • Manage client communications, creative reviews, and all milestone approvals.
  • Oversee guest experience design – from influencer strategy to guest list management and concierge‑driven invitation process.
  • Partner with the Head of Brand and Design Team to ensure creative direction is fully realized in production plans and vendor execution.
  • Oversee budget management, ensuring accurate tracking and reconciliation of all line items, contingencies, and vendor payments.
  • Ensure all insurance (COI), W9s, contracts, and worker compensation documents are secured prior to event day.
  • Lead pre‑event meetings and walkthroughs, ensuring all creative and logistical elements are understood and approved internally.

Production

  • Lead on‑site execution with confidence, aesthetic acuity, and hospitality knowledge.
  • Serve as the on‑site lead and client‑facing representative, directing all vendors, staff, and internal teams.
  • Oversee load‑in, setup, and strike logistics, ensuring timelines and standards are met.
  • Lead creative direction on site – making final calls on placement, styling, lighting, and aesthetic alignment as needed.
  • Manage real‑time problem‑solving, adjusting creative and logistical elements to maintain flow and quality.
  • Integrate culinary operations, service timing, and guest experience into the larger run‑of‑show.
  • Maintain proactive communication with the client, internal team, and vendors throughout the event.
  • Supervise on‑site crew, assistants, and production partners, ensuring clarity, hospitality, and accountability.
  • Uphold CARVINGBLOCK’s editorial and hospitality standards, ensuring every detail reflects the brand’s ethos.

Post‑Production

  • Ensure all elements are closed with the same attention to detail as they began – financially, creatively, and operationally.
  • Lead budget reconciliation and wrap reports, ensuring all invoices, receipts, and expenses are tracked and finalized.
  • Confirm vendor payments, COIs, W9s, and contracts are properly filed with accounting.
  • Ensure all CARVINGBLOCK‑owned collateral and materials are returned, cleaned, and re‑inventoried post‑event.
  • Lead internal and client‑facing recaps, summarizing performance, metrics, guest experience, and learnings.
  • Identify growth opportunities for future partnerships, upsells, or long‑term collaborations.
  • Contribute to internal process improvements for workflow, vendor sourcing, and creative alignment.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 4+ years of experience in event production, hospitality, or experiential marketing.
  • Proven ability to lead projects from concept to completion with autonomy and creative precision.
  • Deep understanding of culinary production, guest experience, and hospitality flow.
  • Strong background in vendor management, budgeting, and creative execution.
  • Proficiency in Google Suite, Notion, Asana, Airtable, or bill.com for project tracking.
  • Experience collaborating directly with designers, chefs, and brand clients.
  • Strong leadership skills with a focus on collaboration, composure, and elevated communication.
  • Exceptional creative judgment and attention to aesthetic detail.

Location: Los Angeles, CA

Salary: $100,000 – $150,000
