What You’ll Do
Setting: Inpatient behavioral hospital.
Full-time or part-time position available.
Conduct comprehensive medical assessments including initial history and physicals (H&Ps) within 24 hours of admission, follow-ups, and discharge planning.
Collaborate with psychiatrists, psychologists, therapists, and support staff to create integrated treatment plans addressing medical and mental health needs.
Co‑manage patients with complex medical comorbidities alongside mental health providers.
Educate patients and families on medical conditions, medications, and lifestyle adjustments to enhance overall health.
Provide medical consults and recommend diagnostic tests and treatments as needed.
Deliver emergency care within your licensure scope until specialized care is available.
What We’re Looking For
Licensure: Active Alaska NP / APRN license or the ability to obtain licensure.
Education: Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
Certification: AANPCB Board Certification.
Experience: Minimum 1 year of post‑training experience in an inpatient or acute care setting, preferred (behavioral health experience a plus).
Skills: Strong collaboration and communication abilities with a patient‑first approach.
