What You Will Have An Opportunity To Do We seek a highly motivated, analytical leader with experience driving sales and marketing for hotels or resorts. The director will execute marketing and leisure sales activities, partner with strategic partners on global campaigns, maintain the property’s website, produce sales collateral, execute an integrated social media strategy, coordinate on‑property and local programming, and manage current and prospective accounts.
Your Role
Drive the strategic focus on creation and distribution of exceptional marketing campaigns
Drive the online advertising strategy utilizing strategic partners to achieve growth in website traffic, bookings and conversion
Drive digital channel direction through data analysis to deliver ROI
Drive the creation of on‑property promotions and programming while working with applicable departments to implement
Drive social media strategy to generate online following, including identifying power bloggers, creation and maintenance of a blog editorial calendar, and growth of all Facebook, Instagram and future social media accounts
Develop, design, implement, and maintain content for all content management systems (CMS): website, mobile app, in‑room TV, public space display monitors, digital signage
Work closely with the Public Relations team to coordinate PR related to special events
Develop and drive the marketing plan
Stay abreast of industry trends that the hotel can capitalize on
Execute sales activities to achieve budgeted goals
Lead all sales and marketing strategies for the Consortia, Wholesale, Leisure and Business Travel Markets
Research, analyze, and monitor financial, technological, and demographic factors to capitalize on market opportunities and establish leadership position
Play a pivotal role in hotel sales efforts, including calling on top ten accounts, hosting luncheons and receptions, and meeting with on‑site contacts
Plan and participate in sales trips and industry meetings as appropriate for assigned markets/territories
Assist in the annual budgeting plan
Negotiate with clients to achieve maximum revenue and profit while satisfying client needs
Enhance the hotel community’s image through active participation in associations, events, clubs, and boards
Own assigned sales territory and respond to specific market needs with initiative and suggestions to sales leadership
What are we looking for?
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Hospitality Management, or related field preferred
Minimum 7 years of progressive experience in hotel sales and marketing leadership roles
Prior resort property experience strongly preferred
Demonstrated success leading commercial strategy, building high‑performing teams, and exceeding revenue targets
Strong understanding of digital marketing strategy, guest segmentation, and brand development in the independent resort space
Financial acumen, with the ability to analyze data, forecast performance, and deliver results across all sales segments
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of presenting to ownership and senior leadership
Self‑motivated, collaborative, and adaptable to the pace of a growing independent resort
Willingness to travel up to 10% as needed for sales missions, trade shows, and industry events
Compensation $90,000 – $120,000
Actual compensation packages vary based on factors unique to each candidate, including skill set, experience, certifications, and location.
