Role description The role involves working across various aspects of architecture, ranging from schematic design to construction administration. It requires technical expertise, critical thinking, creativity, and the ability to prioritize parallel projects while collaborating with clients and team members effectively.

Work on various phases of design and documentation – from space planning to the development of architectural details and material finishes, with an emphasis on schematic design, construction documents, shop drawings reviews and construction administration

Demonstrate a clear understanding of the client’s concept, architectural design process and how to effectively advance the concept through communication, ideation, research, drawings and execution

Review client concepts to ensure code, accessibility and functional requirements are met

Coordinate architectural design with structural, MEP, fire protection, lighting and glass façade consultants

Coordinate architectural design with landlord’s design teams

Prepare permit submission packages under the direction of the project architect

Produce drawings and details in compliance with codes and standards

Assist with contract administration tasks such as shop drawing and submittal reviews and respond to RFIs under the guidance of the project architect

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Organise and manage assigned tasks but understand when to ask questions

Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture or Interior Design

0–3 years of experience, with relevant experience or interest in retail design preferred

Knowledge of Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)

Proficiency in REVIT and AutoCAD required

Registration with NCARB and AIA membership preferred

LEED accreditation preferred

Must be geographically located in the Seattle area and able to balance a hybrid work schedule with a minimum of days in the office per week
