Responsibilities
Plan, schedule, conduct, and coordinate project phases including conceptual, schematic, design development, construction documents, and construction services.
Prepare the project schedule and maintain a weekly updated project planner.
Discuss project health both administratively and technically with the operations leader, and alert the Business Operations Manager of any changing conditions that need elevation to office leadership.
Issue add‑services and obtain approvals before initiating additional scope.
Utilize Ware Malcomb’s resource groups for design and preparation of construction documents.
Provide construction services such as site visits and shop‑drawing reviews.
Coordinate with the contracts team for successful contract execution.
Represent Ware Malcomb at required jurisdiction public design review or development approval meetings and project presentations.
Assemble the consultant team, identify scope, collect fees, select consultants, and facilitate contracts.
Mentor junior project members and assist the studio leader as a resource.
Co‑author proposals and coordinate the consultant team with the studio leader.
Work with the accounting team on accounts receivable, consultant payables, and invoicing.
Coordinate project consultants through all phases.
Collaborate with the QC studio, peer reviewer, or dedicated Project Architect to review contract documents before issuance.
Assist the studio or office leader with marketing to existing and new clients as requested.
Qualifications
7+ years of experience in Interior Design or Architecture.
Diverse commercial experience, including industrial, office, and/or retail projects.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture or Interior Design.
NCIDQ or ARIDO preferred.
Proficient in AutoCAD and Revit.
Knowledge of Microsoft Project, Word, Excel, and Newforma.
Thorough knowledge of building codes.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to coordinate a complete set of contract documents.
