About the Role As a Residential HVAC Wrightsoft Design Specialist you will be responsible for providing quality, detailed HVAC design plans for the installation team.
Pay $20 to $25 per hour based on experience, paid weekly; overtime possible.
Job Schedule Monday through Friday, 8am - 5pm.
Key Responsibilities
Design HVAC systems for residential buildings, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations
Collaborate with architects, engineers, and contractors to develop efficient HVAC designs that meet client requirements
Perform load calculations to determine heating and cooling requirements for different spaces within a building
Create detailed drawings, schematics, and specifications for HVAC equipment installation
Select appropriate HVAC equipment based on project specifications, budget constraints, and energy efficiency goals
Conduct site visits to assess the feasibility of implementing HVAC designs in real‑world conditions
Review construction plans and provide recommendations for optimizing HVAC system performance during the building phase
Collaborate with sales teams during client presentations by explaining technical aspects of proposed designs
Optimize HVAC system layouts to minimize ductwork length and pressure drop for improved efficiency
Utilize specialized programs such as Right‑Suite® Universal and EnergyGauge USA to run heat load calculations for residential homes
Design air distribution systems to effectively cool homes for optimal air quality and comfort
Read construction plans and CADD drawings to identify correct building details necessary to determine heat loads
Follow strict scheduling deadlines based on home builders' timelines
Create essential permitting documents outlining the necessary parameters to adhere to Florida building and energy codes
Qualifications
Have high school diploma or equivalent
1+ years of experience in residential HVAC system design or related software (Wrightsoft or EnergyGuage preferred)
Strong understanding of how HVAC systems and air ducts function
Strong working knowledge of residential HVAC system design
Proficiency in reading and interpreting residential blueprints
Detail‑oriented with the ability to thrive in busy, fast‑paced environment
Familiarity with Florida building and energy codes
Excellent problem‑solving and analytical skills
Strong customer service and communication abilities
Able to work independently and manage time and workload efficiently
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
