Responsibilities
The contracts writer will be responsible for drafting and reviewing documentation related to procurement activities, such as purchase orders, service agreements, vendor contracts, modifications, and amendments.
Creates contract documentation, including the development of the scope of services, performance requirements, and terms and conditions.
Develops language that defines the delivery, service, quality, and pricing for services or products procured.
Ensures language is clear and consistent and coordinates with all business units and stakeholders to ensure protocols, procedures, and requirements are developed in accordance with the Department's needs.
Maintains an internal documentation library, provides and/or coordinates special documentation services as required, and oversees special projects as needed.
Strong organizational and project management skills and excellent writing and editing skills are required.
Ability to develop new contractual language based on business needs, not solely relying on template documents.
Qualifications Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Legal Studies, Technical Writing, Business Administration, or other related field. Or equivalent work experience.
Experience:
Minimum 5 years of business or technical writing experience and working knowledge of procurement processes/documentation.
Additional Skills:
Knowledge of federal, state, and/or local procurement laws and regulations.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong collaboration skills to work with legal counsel, procurement officers, and business stakeholders.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Analytical thinking and problem-solving ability.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
Excellent organizational skills.
Work Environment

On site – 5 days/week – Boca Raton, Florida, 33434
Duration: 12 months

Pay And Benefits The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $56.00/hr.
