Position Overview:
The Architect and Design Sales Representative (A&D Sales Rep) will focus on developing and maintaining strong relationships with architects, designers, and specifiers to drive sales growth in our surfaceLAB team. This role combines sales, relationship management, and an understanding of the architectural and design process. The A&D Sales Rep will also contribute to business development efforts by identifying new opportunities and supporting strategic initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Client Relationship Management:
Build and maintain strong, long‑lasting relationships with architects, designers, and other stakeholders in the design and construction industry. Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing product education and support.
Sales and Business Development:
Identify and develop new business opportunities within the architecture and design community. Promote the company's products and services to achieve sales targets and expand market share. Collaborate with the marketing team to develop campaigns and strategies tailored to the A&D market.
Project Coordination:
Work closely with clients to specify products and integrate them into their design projects. Coordinate with internal teams, including production and logistics, to ensure project success.
Market Knowledge:
Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging technologies in architecture and design. Provide feedback to the product development team to inform new product design and improvements.
Presentations and Events:
Conduct presentations, product demonstrations, and training sessions for architects and designers. Represent the company at trade shows, networking events, and industry conferences.
Reporting and Analytics:
Maintain accurate records of sales activities, client interactions, and pipeline progress in CRM software. Provide regular reports and forecasts to the sales manager.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Architecture, Interior Design, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of sales or business development experience in the architecture and design industry.
Strong understanding of architectural and design processes and terminology.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Ability to build rapport with clients and maintain strong professional relationships.
Proven ability to meet or exceed sales targets.
