Job Summary
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Digital Asset Management Specialist (Archivist) to support the Creative Services team in managing our digital asset library. This temporary position is responsible for ensuring all digital assets are properly uploaded, tagged, and maintained within our content platform for efficient retrieval and long-term organization. The Archivist will work closely with Production Associate, Creative Services and report to the Content Manager, Creative Services collaborating across teams to maintain accuracy, consistency, and best practices in asset management.
Key Duties, Responsibilities and Accountabilities
Upload and organize digital assets (images, videos, and other media) into the company’s content platform.
Tag and categorize assets using accurate metadata to ensure searchability and proper indexing.
Maintain an organized, up-to-date digital archive aligned with established naming conventions and metadata standards.
Collaborate with the Production Associate and other team members to ensure assets are correctly labeled and stored.
Conduct regular quality checks to verify proper uploading, tagging, and organization.
Manage version control and ensure the latest asset versions are accessible.
Monitor and enforce usage rights, licensing restrictions, and expiration dates for all assets.
Develop and refine procedures for digital asset management and tagging standards.
Assist in migrating legacy assets to the new content platform, ensuring smooth integration.
Periodically audit the platform to remove duplicates, archive outdated content, and confirm metadata accuracy.
Identify opportunities to improve asset management workflows and platform performance.
Job Qualifications
Proven experience in digital asset management, archival work, or a related field.
Familiarity with content management systems (CMS) and digital asset management (DAM) platforms.
Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
Ability to efficiently tag and manage large volumes of assets.
Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Working knowledge of metadata standards and digital archiving best practices.
Proficiency in relevant tools (e.g., Adobe Bridge, Excel, DAM systems, or similar software).
Preferred Skills
Experience managing multimedia assets, including images, video, and documents.
Understanding of SEO principles as they relate to asset tagging and metadata.
Basic knowledge of copyright, licensing, and usage rights.
