Intuit’s ProTax Group is looking for a design researcher who is excited to join our team and help us better understand our customers' needs and issues.

This role requires a dynamic individual who is excited to deliver in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment, with a strong ability to go deep into the details, have an analytical problem‑solving approach with a strategic perspective across a variety of deliverables.

Responsibilities

Use methodological rigor to design and execute effective research studies, selecting and applying appropriate tools and methods to ensure ethical research practices.

Analyze and synthesize primary data sources to identify patterns and themes that impact project outcomes, distill actionable insights to inform product and design decisions with guidance.

Translate product questions from the team into appropriate research questions for straightforward problem spaces, ensuring alignment with project goals.

Listen to input from stakeholders with openness and curiosity, probing for clarity to enhance understanding and alignment.

Learn to coach designers and project managers (PMs) to participate as research partners in research‑led projects, effectively scaling the research craft within the organization.

Qualifications

Proven experience in conducting research and analyzing data.

Ability to ask open-ended, non-leading questions and prepare effective research guides.

Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify patterns and themes from data.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to listen and probe for clarity.

Willingness to learn and coach others in research methodologies.''

Southern California: $103,674- $119,000
