Technovation is a global nonprofit that equips learners of all ages with the skills, confidence, and opportunities to lead in technology and entrepreneurship, inspiring them to tackle real-world challenges and build a better future for all. The flagship Technovation Girls program inspires girls and young women (ages 8 to 18) to identify a problem in their community and work together in teams to develop a mobile app or AI-based solution.
Technovation is building one of the largest AI and tech talent pipelines in the world, reaching more than 400,000 people across 160+ countries through its programs, with 87% of its alumni over 18 planning to or currently pursuing STEM degrees.
In 2025, Technovation assumed management of the Women Techmakers community (previously operated by Google), and important step towards achieving our very ambitious strategic plan to leverage our lessons learned and our global network of partners to make a significant dent in increasing the number of women in positions of influence, power, and leadership—especially in STEM.

The Social Media Coordinator will lead social engagement across all channels for Technovation, including planning and executing social campaigns for program launches, events, and fundraising.
- Steadily grow follower count, increase engagement rate, and boost website referral traffic from social media.
- Collaborate with internal teams to Increase fundraising donations from social media, generate new leads or volunteer sign-ups through campaigns, and secure media mentions or collaborations with impact creators.
- Responsible for maintaining a consistent brand voice and reflecting the core Technovation messaging priorities.
- Track influencer/partner engagement and help manage ambassador relationships.
- Monitor performance metrics (reach, engagement, follower growth, conversions).
- Provide regular insights and recommendations to optimize content and strategy.
- Stay updated on social media trends, especially in youth, education, and AI/tech sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Draft, edit, and publish daily/weekly content across platforms (Instagram, X/Twitter, LinkedIn, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook, etc.).
- Coordinate with program, volunteer, WTM, and fundraising teams to highlight initiatives, events, and success stories.
- Work with the creative team to develop graphics, short videos, and other digital assets.
- Monitor comments, messages, and mentions to ensure timely and positive engagement.
- Build relationships with key alumni, volunteers and mentors to establish a team of UGC producers to augment owned content (Social Ambassadors, Contributors).
Ideal Candidate:
The ideal candidate is passionate about Technovation’s mission and excited to be part of a leading education technology nonprofit that is currently in service to tens of thousands of girls in more than 100 countries. We are looking for a candidate who possesses the following:
- 1–2 years of experience managing social media accounts (internships or volunteer roles included)
- Familiarity with major platforms (Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook, X/Twitter)
- Basic design/video editing skills (Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, CapCut, etc.)
- Has excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Is extremely organized with a keen attention to detail, excellent time and project management skills
- Is a resourceful self-starter, able to think creatively to find solutions to challenges, and work with limited resources to find ways to maximize impact
- Is comfortable analyzing and learning from data to help develop strategies
- Loves learning new things and is extremely flexible and open to dynamic, changing environments
- Comfort with scheduling tools (Buffer, Hootsuite, Sprout Social, Later, Blaze, or others)
