This is a volunteer opportunity provided by Taproot Foundation, a nonprofit creating social change through pro bono connections.
We are looking for a creative social media superstar to help us level up our storytelling and save precious time! You’ll work 1:1 with our CEO and Media Consultant to bring Retrocycle’s launch to life - creating fresh, exciting content that celebrates the start of our reuse network for to-go drinkware. Together, we’ll draft around ten posts and brainstorm ways to make our message shine across different platforms. You’re a great fit if you love our mission, know your way around professional social media accounts, and want to pour a little creativity into a project that’s helping people sip sustainably. Estimated time: about ten hours over one to three weeks.
A social media volunteer will help Retrocycle spread the reuse movement by creating playful, eye-catching content that captures our spirit and shows people how easy (and cool) reuse can be. You’ll help design scroll‑stopping posts and set up simple systems to keep our storytelling flowing - helping us reach more cafés, partners, and communities as we make reuse the new normal.
We’ll set you up for success with everything you need to dive right in! You’ll get our social media pillars, brand guidelines, and access to our photo library, logos, and go‑to hashtags - plus a clear list of the launch posts we’re dreaming up. You’ll have a full toolkit to capture our personality and create content that’s fresh, fun, and totally Retrocycle.
Retrocycle Mission: Our mission is to reduce waste by harnessing the power of education, simplicity, and community. Our program draws inspiration from the German deposit system and a successful German reuse service provider that has played a key role in significantly reducing takeout waste. We recognize and celebrate the efforts of our global peers who have made great strides in advancing reuse and we are proud to contribute to the collective learning that drives reuse solutions worldwide.
