About The Nighthawks:

The Upper Valley Nighthawks are a collegiate summer baseball team based in White River Junction, Vermont, competing in the New England Collegiate Baseball League (NECBL). Founded in 2016, the Nighthawks are known for competitive baseball, community involvement, and professional development opportunities for players and staff. Each summer, the team provides a hands-on, growth-focused experience in a fun and fast-paced sports environment.

Internship Information:
  • Opportunity to Earn College Credit (dependent on school approval)
  • Access to professional-level baseball operations and media production
  • Ability to broadcast to numerous networks (HUDL, ESPN+, and Unbeaten Sports)
  • Networking opportunities with NECBL coaches, players, and league officials
Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the technical production of all home game broadcasts on
  • Manage the setup, operation, and teardown of all equipment
  • Direct graphics for all home multi-camera broadcasts, ensuring smooth visuals and high production quality
  • Coordinate with the play-by-play team and league media officials to maintain broadcast standards
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in real time during live streams
  • Train and supervise interns assisting with camera operation, graphics, and scoreboard integration
  • Maintain and update graphics packages, overlays, and sponsor elements
  • Collaborate with the content and social media team to produce highlight reels and promotional clips
  • Assist in postgame media uploads and video archiving for team and league use
Requirements:
  • Currently enrolled in Communications, Broadcasting, Film Production, or related major
  • Strong understanding of live streaming platforms & broadcast software (OBS, ProductionTruck, & NewBlueFX), and production workflows
  • Experience with camera operation, audio mixing, and graphic integration preferred
  • Proven leadership and organizational skills, with the ability to manage a small production team
  • Creative problem-solvingskills and composure under pressure
  • Strong attention to detail and time management abilities
  • Baseball knowledge and prior experience in sports production preferred
