Assistant Editor, Marketing Solutions & Brand Partnerships

Responsibilities

  • Supports post‑production across CW, CW Sports, and Nexstar cross‑portfolio marketing campaigns.
  • Assists Sr. Producer / Editor with day‑to‑day editorial tasks and campaign delivery.
  • Ingests and organizes media from shoots, broadcast pulls, and partner‑provided assets.
  • Preps rough assemblies using string‑outs, radio cuts, and selects for the Sr. Producer / Editor.
  • Helps build graphic animations using brand assets.
  • Pulls airchecks and captures highlight footage for performance recaps to clients.
  • Pulls music tracks and reviews sound mixes.
  • Ensures all deliverables meet creative and technical standards.
  • Collaborates with client‑facing team to maintain efficient workflows and on‑time delivery.
  • Contributes to departmental brainstorms for client presentations with relevant ideas.
  • Manages and organizes client‑provided assets to ensure accurate usage and archival.
  • Preps final project packages for archive and delivery.

Qualifications

Education

  • BA Degree preferred.

Knowledge / Skills

  • A passion for sports & entertainment.
  • General understanding of broadcast ad sales.
  • Proficiency in AVID, Final Cut Pro, and After Effects.
  • Detail oriented with ability to multi‑task and prioritize.
  • Creative problem solving.
  • Positive attitude with desire to learn and work with cross‑functional teams.
  • Working knowledge of the Nexstar portfolio of brands and their programming.
  • MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Photoshop (good, not required).

Work Experience

  • Minimum 1 year experience in post‑production.
  • Experience in media ad sales either at an agency, network or streamer.

Physical Demands
