The Role
We’re looking for a Social Media Manager who lives online. Someone who gets it — the rhythm of social, the speed of trends, the craft of storytelling. You’ll help us shape and scale a multi-platform social ecosystem that speaks to fans, creators, and brands alike.
You’ll own the day-to-day of how Culture Media shows up online — from strategy to content creation to community. One day you might be shooting iPhone clips courtside, the next building a content calendar around a viral trend. You’ll work with talent, athletes, and creators, and you’ll have the freedom to experiment, create, and grow.
What You’ll Do
- Build and manage social strategies across multiple pages and platforms (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Snap, etc.)
- Oversee content calendars and production timelines — keeping ideas fresh, relevant, and on schedule
- Create and edit short‑form video and photo content (yes, iPhone content that actually performs)
- Work directly with athletes, influencers, and creative partners to bring stories to life
- Identify trends, moments, and cultural conversations we should jump into
- Engage with the community and help grow loyal, active audiences
- Track performance, test creative approaches, and optimize content for engagement and reach
What We’re Looking For
- 3‑5+ years of social media experience — ideally in sports, entertainment, or lifestyle
- A deep understanding of how to grow and manage multiple social pages and voices
- Hands‑on creative skills (shooting, editing, writing captions, brainstorming ideas)
- Comfortable being on camera and contributing to content personally
- Organized and proactive — can juggle multiple projects and still move fast
- Passionate about culture, storytelling, and the creator economy
- LA based or open to relocating — we’re building something special here
