Role Description

The Music Education Programs Assistant will support the planning and execution of La Jolla Music Society’s education and outreach initiatives. Responsibilities include coordinating educational workshops, assisting with the preparation of materials, managing logistics for events, and engaging with students, educators, and community partners. The role also involves administrative duties and occasional research to enhance program content. This is a part‑time, on‑site position located in San Diego, CA.

Qualifications

  • Strong Communication skills, including the ability to interact effectively with diverse audiences, partners, and stakeholders.
  • Experience in Administrative Assistance tasks such as scheduling, organization, and data management.
  • A background in Education or training, with an understanding of youth programming or curriculum development preferred.
  • Research and Training skills, including the ability to gather relevant information and assist in delivering educational content effectively.
  • Passion for the arts and previous experience in music or performing arts education is highly advantageous.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in an on‑site environment while managing multiple tasks.
