Role
Associate Photographers are responsible for photography and virtual‑tour capture for Homes.com and Apartments.com. Using Pro 3 Matterport, digital camera gear, and iPad, they record 3‑D tours, floor plans, and marketing photos of residential properties within a core territory. They coordinate with scheduling, dispatch, sales, research, and management teams.
Responsibilities
- Capture high‑quality 3‑D virtual tours and footprints in residential homes and apartments.
- Create photography portfolios showcasing properties using professional techniques.
- Collaborate with scheduling and dispatch to maximize appointments and meet client demands.
- Communicate professionally with clients, sales, research partners, and management to prioritize tasks.
- When not on a residential assignment, navigate one‑mile square grids to ensure commercial real‑estate data coverage.
- Identify new inventory, missing availability, and commercial properties that need photography.
- Follow CoStar safety standards for vehicle and equipment protection.
- Represent CoStar professionally at all times and participate in conference calls with sales and research teams.
Physical Requirements
- Repetitive sitting in a car, standing, and walking for up to 8 hours per day.
- Lifting, carrying, and maneuvering equipment up to 5 pounds.
- Repetitive hand and arm movements for typing on a tablet or laptop and operating camera equipment.
- Occasional bending, stooping, squatting, lifting, twisting, and carrying.
- Ability to work and drive outside during all seasons, including weekends on a rotating schedule.
Qualifications
- At least 2 years of professional photography experience, preferably in real‑estate photography.
- Drone photographer with an FAA Part 107 License/Certification; license to be obtained within 30 days of offer.
- Strong time‑management, detail orientation, data entry accuracy, and excellent oral and written communication.
- Proficiency with Windows, Apple OS, Microsoft Office, and internet applications.
- Experience in an independent, fast‑paced environment; field experience preferred.
- Valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record check.
Compensation
The Associate Photographer position is hourly with a base salary equivalent to $49,000–$50,000 annually plus monthly bonuses based on performance metrics. This role is biased toward metric‑driven performance and bonus incentives to reward outstanding results.
