Position Summary

We are looking for a versatile marketing and PR professional who is a driven go‑getter energized by the opportunity to build out Good Life’s Public Relations and Corporate Marketing efforts. This new role will require an entrepreneurial mindset to balance the needs of a role that is equal parts PR/Media Strategy and Corporate Marketing (Social Media, Podcasts, etc.). While you will be part of the larger marketing team, you will independently manage the PR and Corporate Marketing verticals, including strategy and execution under the leadership of the Director of Marketing.

Key Responsibilities

Public Relations & Media (30%)

  • Develop and execute Good Life’s public relations strategy to increase brand awareness across the RIA and financial services marketplace.
  • Build relationships with key media outlets (Citywire RIA, Barron’s Advisor, Advisor Hub, etc.) to secure coverage and thought leadership opportunities.
  • Create and distribute press releases highlighting advisor transitions, leadership updates, platform enhancements, and key milestones.
  • Manage media inquiries, executive interviews, and speaking engagements.
  • Develop materials such as press kits, white papers, and multimedia content.

Corporate Marketing & Thought Leadership (60%)

  • Lead Good Life’s corporate marketing strategy to support advisor recruitment, business growth, and brand differentiation.
  • Manage a multi‑platform social media strategy (LinkedIn primary) to build engagement and visibility among financial advisors and industry partners.
  • Develop and manage multi‑platform content to position Good Life as an authority on advisor independence and firm growth.
  • Oversee podcast production from planning and guest coordination to editing, publishing, and promotion.
  • Conduct competitive analysis to identify trends and opportunities to enhance brand influence.

Corporate Communications (10%)

  • Develop internal communication initiatives that strengthen company culture and keep advisors and staff informed.
  • Partner with HR, Compliance, and Executive Leadership to ensure messaging is accurate, timely, and compliant.
  • Lead crisis communication efforts to protect Good Life’s reputation.

What Initial Success Looks Like (6–12 Months)

  • Complete an assessment of the current state of Good Life PR, social media, and podcasting to build a foundation for long‑term growth.
  • Through partnership with the Director of Marketing, formalize a multi‑platform marketing strategy that elevates Good Life including social media and podcast reach.
  • Establish KPIs to measure the impact of PR and corporate marketing efforts.
  • Expand Good Life’s visibility through new media relationships, speaking engagements, and award opportunities.
  • Develop a consistent thought leadership voice through blogs and content that support recruiting and brand initiatives.
  • Create efficient workflows to balance PR and marketing deliverables.
  • Become a valued, collaborative member of the marketing team.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, business, or related field.
  • 5+ years in communications, public relations, or marketing (financial services preferred).
  • Proven experience in media relations and social media management (LinkedIn primary; Facebook, Instagram, YouTube secondary).
  • Strong writing and editing skills (press releases, blogs, scripts, etc.).
  • Experience supporting C‑suite executives.
  • Experience working with Canva (or similar graphic design program).
  • Video production/editing experience preferred.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and work collaboratively and cross‑functionally in a fast‑paced environment.

Working Conditions

  • Primarily office‑based with occasional travel (up to 30%).
  • Requires typical physical demands of an office environment.
