SPECTRUM is hiring: Lead Software Engineer – React/Video in Greenwood Village

Requirements

Must have:

• A minimum of 8 years of experience in software engineering.
• A Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
• Proficient in front-end web technologies, particularly Angular, and development experience with JavaScript frameworks like React.
• Extensive knowledge and practical experience with open‑source software such as Angular or React, RESTful Web services, GraphQL, JSON, HTML5, and Git.
• Experience with back‑end technologies including Java, Spring, Google Guice, JPA/Hibernate, and various database systems (Relational and NoSQL).
• Familiarity with continuous integration testing, shell scripting, and working with systems like Maven and Ant.
• Ability to articulate and advocate for mobile app and web technologies across the organization.
• Strong understanding of software engineering principles and object‑oriented design.
• Capability to make ownership decisions and drive technical direction for software development projects.
• A proactive approach to keeping abreast of industry trends and technology innovations.
• Excellent command of English, both written and verbal.
• Full‑time availability and willingness to work in a hybrid model (a mix of in‑office and remote work).

Responsibilities

• As a Principal Software Engineer I on the Spectrum TV team, I will lead technical architecture decisions and provide guidance to a talented front‑end engineering team.
• I will be responsible for architecting, developing, and deploying significant features for Charter’s Spectrum TV customers across multiple streaming platforms, including Xumo Stream Box, Samsung, LG, Vizio, Xbox, and Chromecast.
• It will be my duty to evaluate complex system trade‑offs related to performance, scalability, timelines, and resource limitations.
• Additionally, I will assess new technologies and industry best practices, championing innovations that improve product quality and accelerate development processes.
• I will collaborate with business and technical teams to address conflicts and gaps between functional objectives and existing capabilities.
• I will contribute significantly to delivering an exceptional entertainment experience for millions of customers using various Spectrum TV platforms.
