Job Summary & Qualifications As part of HCA Healthcare Information Technology Group (ITG), your user‑experience and product design work will impact the care of patients. We approach this from a human‑centered perspective, designing mobile, digital & web applications that are intuitive, innovative and beloved by users. This role requires close collaboration with cross‑functional teams while leading user research, information architecture, wireframing, high‑fidelity visual design, interactive prototypes and ensuring design quality before production. You’ll anticipate user needs and advocate for elegant, effective solutions.

Major Responsibilities

Partner with business stakeholders and peer technologists to create common business and user goals.

Facilitate and gather key stakeholder feedback of live products and new designs for UX iterations.

Plan and facilitate user research through observation of and listening to user behaviors via qualitative and quantitative research methodologies.

Document and create user journeys, personas and audience segments.

Design visual solutions for mobile, digital, and responsive web applications that address user issues to enhance business and user goals.

Implement human‑centered design methodologies and processes that leverage ongoing feedback, user insights and information.

Create high‑quality designs through user flow diagrams, wireframes, visual designs, interactive prototypes, presentations, and other design artifacts.

Ensure compliance with organizational standards such as accessibility, design system standards, and brand guidelines.

Foster a UX‑centric culture through teaching, sharing, and coaching others on best practices, UX methodologies, and standardized UX toolsets.

Present and discuss UX designs with stakeholders to garner feedback, build consensus and foster human‑centered design thinking.

Practice and adhere to the “Code of Conduct” philosophy and “Mission and Value Statement.”

Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Human‑Computer Interaction, User Experience, Product Design, Graphic Design, or a related field (Required)

Less than 1 year of experience in user experience or design‑related role(s), or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Behaviors

Empathetic and growth mindset with a willingness to learn new skills, technologies and methodologies.

Supporting knowledge of human‑centered design and UX best practices (user research, usability testing, moderated/unmoderated interviews, etc.)

Understanding and ability to use relevant design and UX tools and platforms (Figma, Sketch, Adobe CC, InVision, UserTesting, etc.).

Skill in driving stakeholder conversations that result in user‑centered solutions.

Ability to execute one or many design practices: UX design, UI design, interaction design, visual design, and product design.

Ability to influence UX best practices while working closely with cross‑functional, multidisciplinary teams.

Support mentoring colleagues as they learn and grow in the UX discipline.

Ability to present complex UX information succinctly to various audiences verbally and in writing.

Excellent problem‑solving and analytical skills.

Ability to work both independently and on a team.

Ability to sit for long periods of time.
