Senior Product Designer, Growth
DigitalOcean – Edge of cloud innovation. Join our Growth team to design scalable experiences that bring new users from discovery to long‑term value.
What You’ll Do
Own the end‑to‑end design process for growth initiatives – from discovery to shipping with conviction.
Develop a deep understanding of users (developers, startups, SMBs) and identify frictionless, delightful journeys.
Define user segments and drive segment‑wise growth strategies and tactics.
Collaborate with PMs, engineers and data analysts to run experiments across the customer journey: signup, activation, retention, expansion.
Form hypotheses, design & launch experiments, synthesize insights.
Translate data and user insights into elegant, conversion‑focused design solutions that drive measurable growth.
Use AI tools for rapid prototyping, testing, and iteration.
Articulate how design decisions drive user and business outcomes, championing design thought leadership.
Partner with other designers to evolve our design system, ensuring consistency while enabling rapid testing.
Champion a bias‑to‑action, scrappy, highly iterative culture that balances speed with excellence.
Key Metrics
New paying customers in high‑LTV segments
Average revenue per user
12‑month retention
Adoption of new products/features for usage expansion
What You’ll Add To DigitalOcean
Experience running multiple growth experiments per quarter.
Ownership of design scope across a broad product surface area to drive growth KPIs.
Strong visual & interaction design, research, usability testing skills.
Hands‑on with growth experiments, analyzing results, sharing learnings.
Balanced quantitative rigor and design craft.
Curiosity & creativity leveraging AI tools to accelerate learning.
Founder‑like bias toward outcomes, experimentation, speed.
Experience at developer‑first companies is a plus.
Compensation Range
$92,400 – $115,500
