Position Summary We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Marketing Communication Specialist II to join our team. The Marketing Communications Specialist II will develop and execute communication strategies to enhance the company’s brand and promote our products. Key responsibilities include creating engaging content for various channels, coordinating marketing campaigns, and analyzing campaign effectiveness. In addition to excellent communication skills, you should possess strong multitasking and organizational skills.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

Write and edit compelling copy for social media, websites, emails, and other marketing collateral.

Monitor trends in social media behavior that may impact our messaging or tactics.

Develop messaging around seasonal or timely topics.

Plan, coordinate, and execute marketing campaigns across multiple channels, including email newsletters and social media.

Track, analyze, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) for marketing campaigns, website analytics, and social media engagement to measure effectiveness and inform future strategy.

Develop and implement comprehensive marketing communications plans aligned with business goals.

Conduct market research within the cell therapy industry to assess customer needs, market conditions, and competitor data.

Assist in the development of technical marketing content such as white papers, case studies, and blog posts in collaboration with subject matter experts.

Support public relations activities, including press release writing, media outreach, and award submissions.

Support marketing campaign planning and execution, including email marketing, SEO, and PPC campaigns.

Ensure consistent branding and messaging across all internal and external communications.

Contribute to internal communications initiatives to improve employee awareness of company updates, milestones, and achievements.

Work with cross‑functional teams such as sales, engineering, QA/RA, and external agencies, vendors, and designers.

Required Skillsets

Proficient with computers, possessing advanced navigation and program knowledge.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.

Minimum of 3‑5 years of marketing experience.

Minimum of 1 year of experience with Google G Suite (Drive, Docs, Slides, Sheets, Forms).

Minimum of 1 year of experience with an online CRM/Salesforce.

Minimum of 1 year of experience with social media, digital advertising, and web/email platforms.

Demonstrated ability to use effective and results‑oriented problem‑solving and critical thinking skills; strong troubleshooting ability.

Strong ability to understand and interpret customer needs; customer‑centric; proactive work with diverse work teams.

Strong interpersonal and people skills.

Strong organizational and time‑management skills with demonstrated ability to meet deadlines.

Exceptional writing, editing, and verbal communication skills.

Ability to work independently and within a team environment on assigned projects from inception to completion.

Preferred Qualifications

Minimum of 1 year of experience in medical device, healthcare, or pharmaceutical marketing.

Experience (or Another Heavily Regulated Industry)

Basic understanding of the WordPress platform or experience editing websites with other content management systems.

Basic skills with graphic design software are a plus (e.g., Canva).

Experience with email marketing platforms and/or marketing automation platforms.

Experience with CRM/Salesforce.

Knowledge of SEO best practices, Google Analytics (GA4), and keyword research tools.

Experience writing or editing technical/scientific content for regulated industries.

Experience developing content for internal communications or employee engagement initiatives.

Experience managing external vendors, creative agencies, or freelancers.

Strong presentation design skills (Google Slides, PowerPoint, or Canva).

Supervisory Responsibility This position has no supervisory responsibilities. However, it may require leading/reporting on projects and ensuring participants meet deadlines.

Work Environment This is a full‑time position. Days and hours of work are typically Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. In some cases, additional work hours may be required. Must be available to come into our Austin office during normal business hours, Monday‑Friday; option for a hybrid schedule once established in the role. This job operates in a professional office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines. OriGen is a fragrance, smoke, smokeless tobacco, and vape‑free facility; no use of tobacco or vape products is permitted on company grounds or during any shift, break, or lunch period.

Physical Demands & Work Environment Essential job duties include talking and hearing, using hands/fingers to handle objects, standing, walking, sitting, and reaching. Occasionally lifting or moving up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus. Travel Approximately 5% travel required.
