Hospice Marketing Liaison—Union & Essex Counties
Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
The Hospice Marketing Liaison will be responsible for facilitating patient admissions to Hospice via marketing and education activities with contracted and potentially contracted hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, respite centers, physicians, and other community resources.
Responsibilities
Generate business by building and maintaining relationships with physicians, medical professionals, community and senior organizations, hospitals, special interest groups, discharge planners, nursing home professionals, assisted living facilities, and other referral sources.
Prepare and conduct calls and in‑service presentations to potential referral sources.
Participate in community and organizational programs: making presentations and joining as a member where appropriate to promote Ascend’s services and broaden awareness of hospice philosophy.
Promote an atmosphere that honors the privacy, dignity, and well‑being of all patients.
Promote positive public relations with patients, family members, and healthcare providers.
Serve as a resource internally and externally, supporting the mission and vision of the organization, especially in palliative and end‑of‑life care.
Education Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
Professional Experience
Experience in marketing, preferably hospice or other healthcare environments (e.g., home health, long‑term care, pharmaceuticals).
Willingness to travel.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Self‑starter capable of generating own leads.
Ability to maintain an organized approach to territory management and work with limited supervision.
Team‑player able to work as part of an inter‑disciplinary team.
Ability to support and promote the hospice philosophy to referral sources in the medical industry.
