Job Description
Create shop drawings for custom commercial kitchen equipment, including floor plans, elevations and other specifications.
Perform solid modeling, preferably with background in sheet metal.
Design custom stainless steel equipment that meets customer and industry requirements.
Manage large assemblies consisting of sheet metal, parts, sub‑assemblies, hardware, and imported files.
Assist in improving modeling skills, training, and processes for other Design Engineers.
Draft complex parts and assemblies with mechanical integration skills.
Use PDM Product Management Database to maintain drawings and models.
Read and interpret blueprints and schematics for each product or project.
Solid 3D‑modeling using Siemens SolidEdge for sheet metal.
Deliver drafts to customers and project managers for review.
Prioritize multiple projects and deadlines while maintaining quality.
Handle product procurement, create DXF drawings for laser cutters and bend operations, and draft electrical drawings.
Troubleshoot and adapt CAD library files to meet customer specifications.
Apply GD&T principles for manufacturing sheet metal.
Skills & Qualifications
0‑2 years of experience, entry level.
Food Service experience preferred.
Experience with sheet metal and interpreting drawings.
Proficiency in SolidEdge; knowledge of SolidWorks acceptable.
Strong understanding of GD&T and manufacturing processes.
Ability to read and design based on specifications.
Job Type & Location Contract to Hire, Oviedo, FL.
Pay And Benefits Pay range: $25.00 – $30.00 per hour.
