Prepress Graphic Design Technician Identification Services is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Prepress Technician to join our team. You’ll collaborate with a talented group to deliver world‑class printed products to our customers. This role is vital in ensuring successful printing and production by preparing preflight and output files for our digital presses.
Position Details
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8‑hour shifts between 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Compensation: Hourly position with performance‑based annual increases.
Benefits: Comprehensive package including health, retirement, and paid time off.
Preferred Qualifications
Associate degree (or equivalent) in Graphic Arts or Imaging Technology
4+ years of experience in printing and prepress technology
Experience with print production, layout creation, templates, and proofing
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (especially InDesign), HP PrintOS, Enfocus PitStop, Switch, and Microsoft Office
Strong Mac skills (PC experience a plus)
Understanding of color profiles and file management
Experience working in a fast‑paced small company environment
Responsibilities
Prepare preflight and output files for digital presses
Verify proper format, layout, and appearance prior to print approval
Support the Print Department in resolving file‑related issues
Communicate regularly with Customer Service Representatives to ensure project requirements are met
Collaborate across departments to achieve production goals
Manage multiple tasks and deadlines efficiently
Contribute ideas to improve processes and workflow efficiency
Additional Requirements
Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy and quality
Problem‑solving mindset with the ability to troubleshoot quickly
Self‑motivated, independent, and proactive
Excellent time management and organizational skills
Ability to handle confidential company and customer information appropriately
Willingness to learn new equipment and processes as needed
