Position:
Design Specialist (CAD/SketchUp)
Summary:
We are seeking to add another well-rounded designer to join our design team! We are looking for a highly detailed and self-motived person to join our team and help create custom homes for our clients. You will be a part of a fast-paced, talented group of designers that enjoy collaborating and continuing to improve their design skills.
Primary Tasks:
CAD Design: Provide project support by creating detailed drawings such as floor plan layouts, kitchen cabinet
elevations, tile layout drawings, fireplace details, interior trim details, lighting/electrical plans, etc Update CAD drawings with any changes made after Client selection meetings
Design Support: Interface with Interior Designer to curate product samples for Client meetings and aid in managing our color sample inventory Review details with Interior Designer before/after Client selection meetings and give Admin support with any Action Items (i.e. research pricing on a new type of flooring, check availability for a specific product and lead time, etc) Interface with the Estimator to review upgrade option pricing details and Change-Order details post Client selection meetings Create Job specific binders for cabinetry 2020 plans, appliance specs, plumbing fixture selections, cabinetry hardware, etc info for the Installers Interface with Project Manager during the Pre-Construction Meeting to review design details. Assist Project Managers with detailed design questions that arise in the field during the home construction SketchUp 3D Artist: Edit and finalize renderings after Client make final color choices Create exterior and interior 3D renderings for Clients and our Model Home Plan
Qualifications: ·
Minimum of 3 to 5 years of design experience ·
Proficient in Microsoft Outlook/Word/Excel ·
Proficient in AutoCAD 2D ·
Proficient in SketchUp 3D and Enscape ·
2020 cabinetry software experience is ideal but not a requirement
