The AWS Builder team is shaping the future for how technical builders learn, experiment, and build with AWS. We are seeking a passionate Visual Designer that has the right mix of technical skills, creativity, and knowledge of market trends to create visually engaging marketing experiences that inspire users.
You will be responsible for creating a wide array of design assets for both digital and physical marketing channels aimed at and shaping how AWS builds effective relationships with new‑to‑cloud and experienced technical audiences. In this role you will partner with product management, engineering, research, and the Developer Experience teams.
This individual will be responsible for designing print and digital deliverables from concept to completion. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker and problem solver with experience designing for all channels, who understands the opportunities and limitations of channels to best tailor design and messaging to the placement.
Key Job Responsibilities
- Designing large‑scale, business critical projects from concept to completion with minimal supervision.
- Creating assets for physical, digital, and social media environments.
- Implementing a strong working knowledge of visual design, brand, interaction design, user‑centered experience design and the creative process.
- Confidently presenting creative to stakeholders.
Basic Qualifications
- 3+ years of design experience
- Have an available online portfolio
- Experience working with agile development teams (agile/scrum/kanban)
- Experience in Adobe Creative Suite applications, with high proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, and Acrobat using macOS
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with e-commerce, search, social, and other major application types and their UX patterns
- Experience creating services and applications with multiple user touch points on different platforms and devices

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $108,400/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
