Talent & Team Management | Lewis & Clark Community College

Scope of Position

  • Serve as a live and on-camera ambassador for the College, representing the institution with integrity and professionalism at campus and community events, as well as on video and social media promotions. This role supports the college’s mission to empower people and foster achievement by creating inclusive and engaging communications that promote enrollment and student success. Through collaboration with academic and student affairs, you will champion diversity, respect, and compassion while strengthening relationships within the community. By embodying LC’s core values, you will enhance the college in the minds of its constituencies.
  • Plan, create, and disseminate multimedia content across digital platforms (including but not limited to college website, social media, email, texting, and digital signage) to advance L&C’s mission of inclusive communication.
  • Assist in the development of advertising and public relations campaigns, including scripts and talking points that support Enrollment and other College departments.
  • Perform on-camera and behind the scenes video and podcasting duties in support of Marketing & PR and the College’s strategic plan.
  • Participate in interviews, podcasts, and media opportunities as a spokesperson for the college, in conjunction with the Marketing and PR Manager/Vice President of Strategic Engagement, ensuring all messaging reflects L&C’s commitment to diversity, compassion, and excellence.
  • Help manage social media marketing efforts, including curating content, engaging with audiences, guiding account editors, and analyzing data to foster inclusion and build community connections.
  • Support planning, execution, promotion and multimedia coverage of college events, promoting engagement and reinforcing the college’s vision of being a preeminent provider of high-quality learning experiences.
  • Make campus and community appearances as an ambassador for the college in support of both public relations and recruitment.
  • Maintain a professional and approachable presence in all public-facing roles to positively reflect the college’s brand and uphold its values of integrity and responsibility.
  • Support the Marketing & PR Department in writing, graphic design, and web content creation to ensure consistency and accessibility in all communications.
  • Assist in preparing emergency notifications using the campus alert system.
  • Work within the College’s Content Management System (CMS) to maintain timely and accurate public information.
  • Operate wide-format printer and large copy machines in the College Print Shop.
  • Price, track, execute/outsource and bill back jobs through the Marketing & PR Work Request System.
  • Provide other Marketing & Public Relations duties as assigned.

Minimum Training and Experience Required to Perform Essential Job Functions

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism, Communications, or a related field.
  • On-air and/or behind the scenes experience in video production (mainly short form), podcasting, radio and social media, including livestreamed content.
  • Well-spoken, energetic and enthusiastic about higher education – specifically, community colleges.
  • Knowledge and experience in advertising and social media marketing.
  • Skills in videography and multimedia editing, DSLR photography.
  • Experience working with web content creation management systems.
  • Strong time management and communication skills.
  • Ability to work solo and within a team environment.
  • Ability to work in a Mac environment.
  • Possess strong organizational skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced and creative environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Basic knowledge of AP style writing and editing.
  • Advanced knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Basic HTML coding knowledge and experience.

Team Members can expect to be paid a salary between $52,885 to $71,395, which includes an excellent benefits package. The salary will be based on a combination of relevant education, training, work experience, and skill competencies.
