$80.00/hr - $85.00/hr

We're hiring a UX Researcher to lead our client’s Equipment Management Workstream focused on customer-facing B2B software tools (desktop & mobile) that help fleet managers monitor and manage heavy machinery data.

Job Title: UX Researcher

Location: Chicago, IL/ Peoria, IL

Contract: 12 Months

Hourly Rate: $80-86 (W2)

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and conduct mixed-methods UX research (usability tests, interviews, surveys, competitive analysis).
• Translate research findings into actionable UI design recommendations.
• Create UX artifacts (journey maps, storyboards, user flows).
• Document UX strategy and prototype requirements for testing and iteration.
• Present clear, actionable findings to stakeholders and influence product decisions.
• Quickly learn complex subject matter and recruit hard-to-reach B2B audiences when needed.

What We’re Looking For:

• Experience: 5+ years in UX Research and UI design (corporate/B2B preferred).
• Education: Bachelor’s degree or higher in HCI, Human Factors, Psychology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Skills:Strong knowledge of multiple research methodologies.
• Excellent stakeholder communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to pick up new tools quickly (Dovetail, Usertesting.com a plus).
• Proficiency in UI layout, spec, and prototyping tools.
• Exceptional data storytelling capability.

Nice to Have:

• Experience in adaptive thinking and empathy-driven design.
