Position Summary
McCarthy is seeking a Design Integration Manager in the Dallas business unit. The Manager will oversee planning, coordination, facilitation and implementation of Design Integration (DI) activities such as team alignment, design schedule management, issue management and contract management.
Key Responsibilities
Assist with project startup activities and lead kickoff meetings.
Develop and maintain project organizational charts, roles & responsibilities matrices and decision-making workflows.
Lead phase pull planning sessions and weekly pull plan updates.
Collaboratively develop integrated project schedules.
Lead design review process to ensure design alignment with owner’s requirements.
Manage design-build and design-assist trade partners.
Work with Business Development team to develop and maintain client relationships.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in construction management, architecture or engineering related field.
8-10+ years of experience in design and/or construction.
Strong knowledge in engineering/consulting or estimating/preconstruction.
Familiarity with collaborative delivery (design-build, CMAR, etc.).
Proficient in interpreting technical memoranda, specifications and drawings.
Ability to supervise and develop all levels of personnel.
Travel up to 25% of the time.
