is seeking a Business Analyst/Visualization Analyst to support a U.S. Federal Government Agency in McLean, VA. The role focuses on managing data retrieval and analysis, uncovering trends, and developing actionable insights. The analyst ensures a high level of customer satisfaction and directly engages with senior government clients to understand mission needs.
Location & Arrangement:
Hybrid remote with on‑site requirements in McLean, VA or nearby; candidate must be within reasonable commutable distance.

Responsibilities
Lead cross‑functional teams in developing, documenting, and delivering process innovations.
Work closely with business users, SMEs, external stakeholders, and internal teams to gather requirements, analyze processes, and devise solutions.
Translate government client needs into data queries and visual dashboards.
Facilitate workshops to identify business needs and requirements.
Ensure data visualizations align with business objectives and support data‑driven government objectives.
Oversee updates to project deliverables including requirements documentation, change control artifacts, and traceability matrices.
Identify, evaluate, and document potential data sources in support of project requirements.
Identify trends, patterns, and insights that drive business growth and efficiency.
Manage high‑priority analytics projects, ensuring alignment with business goals.
Advise senior government officials on data‑driven strategies.
Transform complex data sets into actionable insights using Tableau dashboards.
Interpret data within a business context and aid decision‑making.
Create interactive dashboards and reports that illustrate insights for stakeholders.
Determine information needs, database relationships, attributes, data flow, storage requirements, and reporting capabilities.
Collaborate with programmers and analysts to implement database management system changes.
Requirements
2+ years of experience developing Tableau data visualization reports and dashboards.
5+ years of experience in business analysis, database design, quality evaluation, reporting, project management, UAT, training, and development.
Bachelor’s degree.
Desired Requirements
Experience with MS Excel.
Experience with government acquisitions.
Seniority Level Mid‑Senior level.
