Inductive Automation
The Senior Video Designer I plays a leading role in producing high-impact video content that educates and inspires audiences about our company, products, and events. This position is responsible for managing the full video production lifecycle—including pre‑production (planning, scripting, storyboarding), production (filming, directing, capturing audio/visual content), and post‑production (editing, motion graphics, sound design, final delivery). The Senior Video Designer I will oversee advanced video projects, ensure creative consistency, and collaborate with key stakeholders to deliver multimedia solutions of the highest quality. This is a full‑time position with hybrid and on‑site opportunities available.

Responsibilities
Leading the full video production lifecycle for large‑scale and complex projects, from concept to multi‑format export
Overseeing and executing advanced video editing, aligning content with branding and project goals
Conducting high‑quality on‑camera interviews, including preparation, execution, and capture
Masterfully editing raw footage into compelling stories using advanced techniques
Maintaining mastery of current video and audio technologies, applying best practices for high‑quality output
Designing and animating fully animated explainer videos based on technical scripts
Designing and animating graphics for a myriad of live action video projects
Exhibiting proficiency in sound design and optimizing rendering workflows
Providing critical video support for live‑streaming events
Mentoring and guiding junior team members, fostering growth and enhancing team capabilities
Collaborating extensively with marketing and other departments on complex multimedia initiatives
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in Videography, Animation, Graphic Design, Multimedia, Marketing or related field
4‑7 years of experience in a video production or related role
Strong storytelling skills
Strong experience in pre‑production work including but not limited to: research, storyboarding, planning, scouting, filming, audio recording, etc.
Strong experience in post‑production work including but not limited to: editing, rendering, posting for different formats, etc.
Exceptional grammar, spelling, writing, as well as interpersonal skills
Exceptional communication skills with a proven ability to articulate technical concepts to both technical and non‑technical audiences
Effectively and aesthetically implement type and branding into visual projects
Create distinct concepts to explore a variety of solutions
Strong time management skills and the ability to carry projects from start to finish
Advanced knowledge of video and audio recording and editing in Adobe Premiere, DaVinci Resolve
Knowledge and experience creating visually compelling motion graphics and 2D animations
Experience with Adobe Creative Suite including Photoshop, Audition, Illustrator, InDesign and After Effects
Additional Skills (Not Required, but Preferred) Experience with building website animals like scroll‑based parallax animations, tie motion to scroll, microinteractions around mouse movement, rich hover animations, etc.
Being comfortable on camera
Experience with B2B marketing or case studies
Experience with industrial integration for manufacturing
Familiarity with the Manufacturing industry or Information Technology industry
Pay Based on the Sacramento region, the new hires target salary for this role is $96k - $109k. This role will be paid hourly. Inductive Automation’s ranges are market‑driven and set to allow for flexibility. Although it is not typical for an individual to start at the top end of the range for the position, compensation decisions are dependent on: the facts and circumstances of each case, work location, job‑related skills, experience, relevant education or training; and other business and organizational needs.
