About the Role We are seeking Computer Aided Design and Drafting Technologists to join our Design Engineer Group. In this role you will transform customer concepts into detailed product definitions that contribute to national security. Each day brings exciting challenges and opportunities to showcase creativity and technical expertise while advancing critical initiatives in Nuclear Deterrence.
Responsibilities
Innovate and create detailed component and system definitions using advanced CAD software.
Design intricate three-dimensional models and detailed drawings of complex objects and systems.
Define products by transforming customer concepts into detailed specifications.
Collaborate with CAD Designers, Product Design Engineers, and R&D Mechanical Engineers to integrate requirements into designs.
Perform dimensional calculations and analyses to ensure precision and functionality.
Adapt designs to evolving requirements in partnership with R&D Engineers.
Analyze product performance data to drive continuous improvement.
Qualifications We Require
Associate degree in Mechanical Drafting, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or equivalent education/experience.
Experience using CAD software for 3D solid modeling and mechanical drawing generation.
Qualifications We Desire
Active Security Clearance
Experience using PTC Creo software for mechanical design.
Solid understanding of mechanical design principles.
Familiarity with tolerance analysis principles and GD&T.
Knowledge of manufacturing methods for mechanical hardware.
Understanding of Design for Manufacturing principles.
Experience with Microsoft Office products.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a diverse team.
Salary $62,400 – $120,400 (estimated).
