They have proven the ability to deftly master the voice and tone of several brands and are bold thinkers with an appetite to effectively use social media to build brands and businesses.

From building brand communities to developing engaging content to turning numbers into insights, our Sr. Social Media managers have a proven track record of success in growing multiple engaged social communities, nimbly adapting to the challenge at hand. They have a passion for inventing, innovating, and testing programs with the intent to use data and insights to inform future decisions. They adopt the mindset of continuous learning and have a passion for teaching others the art of the social media craft.

Key Responsibilities

Social Care and Engagement

  • Build and manage brand presence on social by leading care and engagement efforts on key accounts ensuring strong work quality and completion of timely deliverables
  • Activate on-brand business objectives by assisting in setting social benchmarks and working to achieve key metrics
  • Create and manage rich editorial and content strategies that attract and engage key brand audiences
  • Create breakthrough original content and customize existing assets that can then be adapted to fit the needs of multiple social media platforms
  • Support ad boosting for posts, working with the paid specialist team to enhance paid support for larger campaign initiatives
  • Lead the development and presentation of key deliverables such as content, platform, and audience insights; content/editorial calendars and content concepts
  • Lead the development and presentation of monthly and quarterly social media reporting, providing insights and implications about content performance, consumer audience/ behaviors on social, competitor insights, and best-in-class industry examples
  • Assist with growth, development, and training for Social Media Managers, sharing knowledge, actively teaching skills, and providing constructive feedback
  • Ensure and uphold a high work quality; adhering to TSL processes and best practices, sharing ideas and learnings, and proactively seeking ways to improve and enhance our work

Client Relationships

  • Build credibility with clients, confidently present work, proactively share insights and observations, consult on key questions as they arise
  • Lead the presentation of key deliverables to clients, preparing for and being able to answer questions as they arise

Social Knowledge And Leadership

  • Stay up-to-date and in the know on all things social, including trending topics, emerging platforms, algorithm changes, etc.
  • Proactively identify emerging trends, elevate trends the team, and own the creation of a plan for brand engagement
  • Provide thought leadership and guidance for social media best practices such as content publishing guidelines, KPI benchmarks, and channel growth strategies within TSL and with clients

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

  • Bachelors Degree in Journalism, English, Public Relations, Marketing or related communications field
  • 3-5 years experience in Marketing/Communications and at least 2 years in Social Media
  • Strong time management, attention to detail, organization, and prioritization skills in order to complete multiple client requests and deliverables in a timely manner
  • Able to persuasively communicate ideas, guide others and ensure a high quality of work for self and the SMM team
  • Able to roll with the punches and demonstrate adaptability in responding to change
  • Proven track record of exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to take on different brand tones and styles
  • High level of professionalism in representing The Social Lights to clients and acting as a brand ambassador in the community
  • Adept at collaboration and working within a team environment
  • Effective verbal and written presentation skills
  • Proactive, solution-oriented, collaborative, responsible, and accountable
  • Proficient in social media management and measurement tools such as (but not limited to) Iconosquare, Sprout Social, Khoros, Meltwater, Brandwatch, Sprinklr, Tweetdeck, Hootsuite, social media native platform business/ad managers, etc.
  • Possesses baseline knowledge of Photoshop and Canva
  • Proficient in MS Office software and G suite
  • Experience with Apple suite (Keynote, Pages, Numbers)
  • Maintains confidentiality with business relations, personnel matters, and proprietary matters
