Job Summary WLOX is looking for an experienced journalist to join our team as an Anchor/Reporter. We need a newsroom leader energized by breaking news, developing sources, and building community relationships in South Mississippi. Responsibilities Anchor newscasts as assigned Present news in an urgent & active manner Conduct live interviews and anchor continuous coverage Help evaluate leads and tips to develop story ideas Cover news in the field as assigned Contribute stories to all platforms – streaming, website, and social media Represent the station in the community for promotional events Qualifications Must work quickly, meet deadlines, multitask, and maintain composure during high-pressure breaking news situations Excellent written and verbal communication skills Exceptional news judgment, strong work ethic, and teamwork orientation A college degree or equivalent experience in journalism is preferred MVR check required Application Process To apply, visit https://gray.tv/careers#currentopenings and upload your resume, cover letter, and references.
