Adjunct Faculty Pool – Developmental English Writing & Reading (2025-2026 Academic Year) Walla Walla Community College (WWCC) seeks adjunct faculty to teach Developmental English Writing & Reading courses for the 2025‑2026 academic year. Positions are part‑time/temporary, with flexible hours and opportunities to work on campus locations and online. Position type: Part time Location: Walla Walla, WA (online/remotely possible) Job Number: 2025‑1025 DEWR Closing: Continuous (open until filled) General Responsibilities Facilitate student learning through preparation and delivery of course materials. Provide timely feedback on assignments and exams. Assign final grades and maintain student records in the College’s LMS. Connect students to campus resources and support services. Essential Responsibilities Teach assigned classes at scheduled times and locations. Demonstrate professional skills appropriate to the teaching assignment. Provide comprehensive syllabus at the beginning of each quarter. Conduct frequent evaluations and provide feedback throughout the quarter. Maintain course outlines, syllabi, and program textbooks. Post at least one office hour each week accessible to students. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in TESOL, Adult Education, Secondary Education, Applied Linguistics, or related field. Demonstrated proficiency teaching language development at pre‑college or secondary level (minimum two years). Commitment to promote equitable access and educational achievement of diverse students. Accepted by US E‑Verify and qualified for work in the United States. Preferred Qualifications Master’s Degree in TESOL, Adult Education, Education, or related field. Experience teaching at a community college or secondary level. Proficiency with LMS, digital whiteboards, Zoom, and other instructional technology. Experience in in‑person, hybrid, blended, or online modalities. Experience working with diverse student populations.
