Job Summary The Materials Expeditor serves as the primary point of contact for all aircraft parts required to support the successful completion of commercial aircraft heavy maintenance projects. This role will receive part requirements directly from maintenance teams, coordinate with Program Managers to determine whether parts are supplied by the customer or ComAV Technical Services, LLC, and ensure all details are accurately entered into the Corridor ERP system. The Materials Expeditor will also maintain a critical parts list that tracks task associations, ownership of parts, and overall status to minimize delays and support on-time project delivery.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Attend daily status meetings to stay aligned with project needs.
Review and process pre-draw parts requirements.
Order pre-draw materials for scheduled and incoming projects.
Enter all parts and tooling requests into the Corridor ERP system.
Track and monitor AOG parts for specific projects, ensuring priority handling.
Obtain daily updates from Purchasing and coordinate with Receiving to expedite priority parts.
Communicate availability of priority parts to Program Managers and Planning once received and issued to job cards.
Coordinate rental or loaned tooling when ComAV inventory is unavailable, preventing delays to maintenance or aircraft delivery.
Provide weekly material status updates on outstanding parts requirements, highlighting potential schedule impacts.
Prepare and maintain documentation related to work activities in accordance with regulations and Company policies.
Other duties as assigned.
NUMBER OF PEOPLE SUPERVISED
0 direct reports. This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.
Education, Experience & Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree in aviation maintenance, supply chain management, logistics, or related field preferred.
FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) license preferred, but not required.
3–5 years in materials expediting, inventory control, or related roles in aviation, aerospace, or heavy maintenance environments.
Familiarity with ERP systems (preferably Corridor) and parts ordering processes.
Strong knowledge of aircraft parts, shop supplies, tooling, and inventory control.
Aerospace, airline, or FAA compliance experience preferred; prior MRO experience a plus.
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required; must obtain a Driver badge through Southern California Logistics Airport.
Must be able to read and understand company and manufacturer manuals.
Must be available to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
Strong organizational skills with ability to multi-task, adapt to changing priorities, and meet deadlines under pressure.
Experience in commercial aircraft maintenance operations preferred.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES (Competencies) The Individual Must Possess
Computer Skills – Must have a strong working knowledge of MS Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Corridor Go or other Maintenance or ERP systems experience a plus.
Language & Communication Skills – Excellent written and verbal communication (English). Fluency in a second language, particularly Spanish, is a plus.
POSITION LOCATION
No travel required for this position.
Work location – CTS facility Victorville, CA.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods throughout the workday.
Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials, parts, or tooling weighing up to 50 pounds unassisted.
Frequent movement between office, hangar, and warehouse environments; may include climbing stairs, ladders, or accessing aircraft stands.
Requires use of hands and fingers for data entry, handling parts, and operating standard office and warehouse equipment.
Visual acuity required to read part numbers, labels, documents, and computer screens.
Hearing and verbal communication required to effectively coordinate with maintenance, purchasing, and receiving teams in sometimes noisy environments.
Must be able to work in varying environmental conditions, including exposure to aircraft hangars, flight line, outdoor weather, and warehouse settings.
