This position reports directly to the SCM manager. The individual will track, manage, and process orders through to delivery to the customer. The expediter must be adaptable to a wide range of products and capable of interpreting detailed information, including purchase orders, packing slips, commercial invoices, export trade documents, and invoices. Core knowledge in purchasing and engineered equipment within an aftermarket environment is essential.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Use SAP or reports to expedite suppliers for on-time deliveries for assigned projects based on technical specifications.

Coordinate and define expediting tasks for all placed purchase orders.

Contact suppliers and update progress and expediting reports as needed.

Confirm delivery schedules and address any delays.

Maintain, follow-up, and control supplier contractual agreed dates.

Issue regular expediting status reports as required.

Visit suppliers to verify progress or review corrective actions.

Initiate actions to remedy situations within scope of authority.

Confirm that warehouse personnel have the order or walk/call the order to the warehouse to initiate processing, and follow up with each department for timely processing.

Follow-up on QA releases.

Coordinate shipping with Logistics.

Work with Engineering, Procurement, and Quality departments to improve vendor performance as demanded by schedule.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION

Minimum of 5 years experience in expediting.

Proficient with MS Project, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Proficient with SAP.

Experience with inventory management software.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
