Purpose of the Role At Worley, we are delivering sustainable change by partnering with our customers across the energy, chemicals, and resources sectors. The Expeditor I plays a critical role in supporting the timely and compliant delivery of equipment and materials, helping ensure that projects progress efficiently and sustainably. This role provides visibility into supplier performance, ensuring that procurement timelines align with project schedules, quality expectations, and destination requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Monitor and track supplier progress to ensure delivery milestones are met in accordance with purchase order terms and project schedules.
Provide consistent updates and insights to project teams on supplier status, identifying potential delays or risks and offering viable solutions when needed.
Liaise regularly with suppliers to clarify requirements, confirm compliance, and encourage proactive issue resolution.
Gather and analyze supplier data to assess performance and compliance with agreed timelines, location requirements, and quality specifications.
Coordinate with internal teams including engineering, procurement, and logistics to resolve any issues impacting schedule adherence.
Maintain accurate documentation of supplier communications, delivery progress, and mitigation plans.
Participate in reviews and status meetings, contributing updates that support overall project alignment.
Develop working knowledge of Worley systems, processes, and tools related to supplier management and expediting.
Assist in the mentoring or coordination of junior team members, contributing to a collaborative and solution-focused work environment.
Qualifications / Skill Set
University degree in supply chain, business, engineering, or a related field; equivalent practical experience will be considered.
Previous experience (typically three years or more) in procurement, expediting, logistics, or a related supply chain role within a project-driven industry.
Foundational understanding of supply chain and procurement systems, processes, and tools.
Ability to work independently under general supervision while applying structured processes to track, report, and elevate supplier-related issues.
Clear and professional communication skills, with the ability to convey information to internal and external stakeholders effectively.
Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management in a fast-paced, milestone-driven project environment.
A collaborative mindset, with the ability to work across disciplines and cultures to support shared objectives.
Commitment to continuous improvement and a willingness to grow within an evolving global organization focused on sustainability.
